Could be subconscious, but, you've even got the "U" shaped scar on the forehead. I recognized it instantly. You've changed it and added your own flavor, so it's not the same. However, I don't think this image would exist if Giger hadn't done the other first. That's the nature of art though. We all stand on the shoulders of those who went before, but they we go off in new directions. Your other work doesn't show the overlap so much at all, so it's not like you're derivative. Anyway, I really like your art!
